Mark Salling or Mark Wayne Salling (born August 17, 1982) is an American actor and musician. He is known for his role as Noah "Puck" Puckerman on the comedy television series, Glee.
Salling previously acted in Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering with Naomi Watts and also in The Graveyard. And in his music career Salling sings, writes, and produces his own music, and plays the piano, guitar, bass guitar, and drums. His solo project (under the stage name Jericho), was debut album Smoke Signals, released on February 8, 2008, under Jericho Records. He sang a cover version of Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" on an episode of Glee and Billy Joel's hit song "Only the Good Die Young" in another.
He also sang a duet on the show with Amber Riley as Mercedes on "The Lady Is a Tramp," and had solos in many songs including "Run Joey Run," "Beth" and "Good Vibrations." During filming Salling wrote a song and created a video entitled "Chillin' on Glee," which featured various Glee cast and crew members on set.
On August 6, 2010, Salling announced that he would be releasing a rock/jazz album inspired by Alice in Chains, Nine Inch Nails, Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock. Titled Pipe Dreams, it was released on October 25, 2010 on Pipe Dreams Records, Salling's own label, in partnership with Fontana Distribution. He is the composer, performer, and producer of each track. The first single, "Higher Power", premiered on August 10, 2010.
